We've also helped many people cover up tattoos with beautiful new designs. To ensure your complete satisfaction with the body art, we offer free touch-ups for the first 6 months.

Prices
All of our tattoo artists charge by the hour. Tattoos are $140 minimum charge and goes up from there depending on the design and the artist. A rough estimate of all costs will be given before the appointment is set, but please keep in mind that it is an estimate – your total cost could vary.

Native Arts Tattoo & Piercing requires a minimum deposit to hold a tattoo appointment. We charge $100 for anything less than 3 hours and $200 for anything more than 3 hours. This deposit will be credited towards the cost of your tattoo, but it will become non-refundable if you do not call at least 48 hours before your appointment to cancel or reschedule.

Age Restrictions
While there are no age restrictions for tattoos in Red Deer, we are strict about only tattooing clients 18 and older. If you are under 18, you will need to bring a parent with photo ID, proof of relationship, and your parent must sign a consent form. We ask for valid ID no matter what your age, so make sure to bring it with you, even if you are well over 18.

Health Restrictions

Professional tattooing and piercing is safe – our staff uses only sterile equipment during all our services to ensure your overall safety during the tattoo or piercing process. However, please note that certain medical conditions may restrict you from piercings and tattoos, including:

  • Pregnancy
  • Epilepsies
  • Certain sexually transmitted diseases
  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Hemophelia
  • And more


We take your safety very seriously. It is important to let your tattoo artist or piercer know if you have any serious health issues. It is also important that you don’t drink alcohol or use drugs at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid blood thinning. We will not serve you if you are intoxicated. If you have any questions about these restrictions, please contact us.

Protecting Your New Tattoo
To avoid infection and colour fading in the weeks after getting your tattoo, follow these instructions:

  • You can remove the wrapping 8 hours after the tattoo is finished.
  • Wash gently with a mild soap and blot dry (but don't rub).
  • Apply our Native Arts Tattoo & Piercing’s Ink Bomb™ All Natural Aftercare Ointment lightly a few times a day (do not apply hand lotion).
  • If scabbing occurs, this is normal – do not pick or scratch.
  • Don't go swimming, use a sauna or soak in a bath or steam bath for at least two weeks.
  • Avoid exposing the area to sun as much as possible for at least two weeks.

Ink Bomb™ Aftercare Ointment
The team at Native Arts Tattoo & Piercing has developed its own special brand of aftercare balm to best treat your tattoo in the first few weeks. An all-natural product, Ink Bomb™ includes:

  • Beeswax: Used as a thickening agent. Has an emollient property. Soothes and softens skin.
  • Lavender oil: Gives temporary relief to the symptoms and itching. Known for its antibacterial properties, cell regeneration and repair qualities.
  • Rosemary oil: Known for its skin cell regenerating properties and for damaged or dry skin. It also provides astringent and anti-septic abilities and moisturizing abilities.
  • Tea tree oil: It is antiseptic, antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal. Tea tree oil is an effective immune stimulant. It is a mild pain reliever - analgesic - a remedy that relieves or allays pain.
  • Olive oil: Excellent and very balanced skin moisturizer. Also has a high content of antioxidant substances and naturally contains vitamins A and E.
  • Vitamin E oil: Powerful antioxidant. Reduces scarring.
