age and health requirements at native arts tattoo

Age Restrictions

While Red Deer does not have a legal age for piercings, our shop has specific rules about who we will pierce. For navel, facial, ears and tongue piercing, you must be 16 or older with a valid ID. We will consider clients under 16 for these piercings if you have a valid photo ID and a parent in shop willing to sign a consent form (any client 14 or younger is limited to the basic earlobe and upper cartilage). However, you must be 18 years or older for nipple piercings. No matter what your age, we do require that you have valid ID for all piercing appointments.

There are also no age restrictions for tattoos in Red Deer, but we are strict about only tattooing clients 18 and older. If you are under 18, you will need to bring a parent with photo ID, proof of relationship, and your parent must sign a consent form. We ask for valid ID no matter what your age, so make sure to bring it with you, even if you are well over 18.

If you have any questions about these restrictions, please contact us.
