Protecting your new tattoo

To avoid infection and colour fading in the weeks after getting your tattoo, follow these instructions:

  • You can remove the wrapping 8 hours after the tattoo is finished.
  • Wash gently with a mild soap and blot dry (but don't rub).
  • Apply our Native Arts Ink Bomb™ All Natural Aftercare Ointment lightly a few times a day (do not apply hand lotion).
  • If scabbing occurs, this is normal – do not pick or scratch.
  • Don't go swimming, use a sauna or soak in a bath or steam bath for at least two weeks.
  • Avoid exposing the area to sun as much as possible for at least two weeks.

  • Vitamin E oil: Powerful antioxidant. Reduces scarring.
